We must be positive

26 November 2018

“The important thing is that we must be positive ahead of the game,” was the message from Jos Luhukay ahead of Tuesday’s clash with Bolton.

Both sides go into the game out of form and in need of a boost following a slump in the campaign.

For the Owls, despite positive aspects from Saturday’s encounter with Derby, errors again proved costly and Luhukay’s side slipped to a fifth defeat in six.

Meanwhile, Bolton are without a league victory since late September and head into the game in the bottom three with six defeats from their last eight games.

As both sides go head to head looking to turn results around, Luhukay said:

“When we analyse the game on Saturday, we see that we did a lot of things that were good.

“But there are important moments where you concede the two goals and that is the reality why we did not win the game.

“You can look to every game and the position in the league but the important thing is to look to yourself to try to win this game.

“Every game is important, not alone tomorrow, whether you win or lose, the competition goes further and there is a long way to go in the season.

“But we know what we have to do and we will give everything to win the game.”

He added: “Everyone knows in football that when results are not positive the manager is always in the spotlight.

“I think I am long enough in football to handle that.

“We know that nobody helps you from the outside and we can only help our self to bring a good performance and to win the game.”
