Jos Luhukay today stressed the importance of achieving a good team balance as he prepares his side for the visit of Derby.
The Wednesday boss was pleased with his side’s strong defensive work in the Sheffield derby before the break.
But as the Owls return to action at Hillsborough, Luhukay says there must be a balance between defence and attack, as he explained:
“We must have a good balance between our defending work and our offensive work, to come to chances, to come to scoring goals.
“In the game against Sheffield United, the team made an excellent job in the defending work but in the offensive and transitions, we must tomorrow have more dominance.
“We must find a good balance and with the possibilities we have, we can bring a very good team to the pitch.”
Tomorrow’s clash with the Rams is the first of back to back home games, with Bolton visiting S6 on Tuesday.
On the importance of the Hillsborough double-header, Jos added:
“These games are very important. We can, in these two home games, come back to the success we had before the last international break.
"Let's see how really strong we are. We must show passion, ambition and the mentality. We have the quality and we must see it tomorrow.
"I have the trust in my players and they are with each other.”
