Hard work ahead

15 October 2018

Wednesday headed into the international break on a high with victory away at Bristol City and into the top six for the first time this season.

With the break now over, the Owls are gearing towards another huge Championship test in the form of fourth-placed Middlesbrough.

Just three points separate the sides, who go head to head at Hillsborough in front of the Sky Sports cameras on Friday (7.45pm).

Pleased with his side’s progress, Jos Luhukay says he is proud of his team’s work and wants to see further progression, explaining:

“It is unbelievable how this team can work and fight and keep up the intensity with character.

“Our last game at Bristol City, we had over seven minutes of extra time to play so it wasn’t so easy but under the pressure, they were cool and with each other to clear every dangerous moment.

“Now we have from our last nine games, five wins, three draws and only one defeat and I think that deserves respect and I am proud of that.

"We went into the top six for the international break but we have a lot of hard work ahead to do and must get better every game new.”
