Kieran Lee is in the starting line-up for the Owls Under-23s’ fixture with Watford today at Middlewood Road.
The PDL2 clash is set for a 2.00pm kick-off and Lee will take another positive step forward having been named in Neil Thompson’s matchday squad.
The midfielder hasn’t featured for Wednesday since December 2017 but was amongst the positive news last week, as manager Steve Bruce confirmed the 30-year-old was in full training.
He said: “Kieran Lee has trained all week.
“That is a delight for him. It’s too early for him to play in any competitive game yet but he’s trained all week which is good to see for all the squad.
“It’s good to see him back. We have edged him into it, he’s been out a long, long time.”
The full Owls Under-23 line-up is as follows; Wildsmith, Baker, Pudil, Thorniley, West, J Lee, Kirby, K Lee, Borukov, Hunt, Preston
Substitutes: McCulloch, Brennan, Grant, Hagan, Damba
