Owls supporters have raised a fantastic £1,465 for local charity Sheffield Royal Society for the Blind.
A bucket collection took place around Hillsborough when Wednesday faced Blackburn on Saturday 16 March.
Wednesdayites gave generously to the charity’s ‘Bring a Pound to the Ground’ initiative, with the funds raised going towards helping blind and partially sighted people in Sheffield.
SRSB mascot, Ellie, and fundraising manager Sue Coggin popped down to Hillsborough on Tuesday evening before the Owls’ 3-0 victory over Nottingham Forest where they met with midfielder Joey Pelupessy for a special cheque presentation.
The Owls and SRSB would like to say thank you to everyone who donated.
