Full praise from Bullen

5 August 2019

Three goals and three points away from home on the opening day of the season was an ideal start for Lee Bullen and Sheffield Wednesday.

The opening game of the new campaign offered plenty for those of a Wednesday persuasion to be excited by for the season ahead.

Spirits were riding high in the aftermath of the Owls’ 3-1 win at Reading with Bullen, the squad and supporters enjoying the opening day celebrations.

Buoyed by the early signs, Bullen said: “I have no complaints about anyone from Saturday, I would have liked us to play better as a team, absolutely.

“We will play better as a team but the first game of any season is an anomaly and you never quite know what you are going to get.

“But to get through it in the manner we did, I don’t think we can have any complaints.

“We now face a big, big game against a Barnsley side who had a fantastic result against Fulham so it will be a good derby next week!”
