Ahead of the first international break of the season, Wednesday host QPR on Saturday.
The Owls have four wins from their first six games in all competitions.
A much-changed Wednesday side defeated Rotherham 1-0 in midweek to advance in the Carabao Cup, with victories also over Reading, Barnsley and Luton in the Championship.
The two defeats have both come on the road at Millwall and Preston.
QPR have posted two league wins, the first coming on the opening day away at Stoke and more recently at home to Wigan.
But the R’s have lost three of their last four games, with those defeats coming in the Carabao Cup at home to Portsmouth (0-2) and Championship games v Bristol City (2-0) and Swansea (1-3).
Team news
SWFC: Liam Palmer has recovered from a back injury and is available for selection.
Sam Winnall will be assessed on Friday at Middlewood Road after sustaining a head injury in the cup-tie at Rotherham.
The Owls made nine changes for the Millers clash and are likely to mix things up again this weekend.
QPR: Although nearing returns, the trip to Hillsborough is likely to come too soon for Luke Amos, Geoff Cameron and Lee Wallace. Olamide Shodipo’s knee injury will keep the winger out for a further two weeks.
Supporters
Supporters are reminded that the North Stand is currently running at capacity with Season Ticket holders, therefore match by match tickets are not available for this area of the stadium.
This situation will be ongoing until we advise otherwise. Regarding safety measures, there will be no access to the South and North Stands from Leppings Lane and exiting the North Stand is via Penistone Road only.
Penistone Road will be closed on both carriageways from 4.30pm up to an hour after the final whistle on Saturday matchdays, with the same closure in place for midweek games.
The exception are disabled supporters and one carer, who can gain entry from Leppings lane through the blue gate to the South Stand underpass.
Disabled supporters will also be allowed exit onto Leppings Lane at the end of the game from the South Stand underpass but not the North Stand.
Safety
Sheffield Wednesday are reminding supporters of their conduct whilst following the team both at Hillsborough and away from home.
The launching of missiles from the stands, including pyrotechnics, are criminal offences and the club have a zero tolerance policy to these.
