The EFL have confirmed that Bury have been expelled from the 2019/20 Carabao Cup.
The Owls were paired with Bury in the first round of the competition but the tie was suspended given the Shakers’ ongoing financial concerns.
The new EFL ruling means Wednesday receive a bye to round two, where we will take the short hop across South Yorkshire to face Rotherham.
The game will take place at the New York Stadium on Wednesday 28 August (7.45pm).
