The Owls’ strong relationship with local higher education institutions was highlighted on Wednesday morning when a student photographer visited Middlewood Road to take some portrait images of defender Jordan Thorniley as part of her course.
Harriet Massey is completing a foundation degree at Hillsborough College and has been working closely with Wednesday for a number of months.
She is the prime example of how the Owls strive to support young talent in the city, from Sheffield College through to its two renowned universities, University of Sheffield and Sheffield Hallam University.
Harriet began by covering Wednesday’s younger teams, supplying vital images of the club’s Under-23s and Under-18s for the Owls’ official channels, as well as her own college work.
After some great work with the academy, Harriet has recenty stepped up to cover first team games at Hillsborough, supplying the media department with an extra strand of matchday content.
As part of her latest project, which focuses on personalities, she visited the Wednesday training complex on Middlewood Road to profile Thorniley.
We look forward to working on future projects with Harriet and other talented young people produced in Sheffield’s higher education system.
