The Owls are joining the widespread campaign to help end period poverty by making sanitary products available free of charge to our female fans inside Hillsborough.
Spreading the fantastic work of awareness group ‘On The Ball’, who now have over 60 football clubs on board, Wednesday are following the likes of Liverpool, Manchester City, Celtic and Red Star Belgrade in the campaign for free sanitary product provision.
Research has found that one in 10 teenage girls struggle to afford sanitary products, with one in seven needing to borrow products from their friends.
Starting from this Saturday, 9 February when the Owls take on Reading in S6, facilities across the Grandstand, North Stand, South Stand and Kop will be stocked with a variety of free sanitary products.
