Lucas Joao’s blistering strike against Blackburn Rovers has been nominated for the December Sky Bet Championship Goal of the Month award.
Little seemed on for the striker after receiving possession from Fernando Forestieri, but the 25-year-old took a touch, then launched an unstoppable drive from 30 yards high into the net.
Joao scored three goals from his five December appearances, including a double against Rotherham next time out at Hillsborough.
The Championship Goal of the Month award has made its way to Hillsborough twice already this season with Barry Bannan and Adam Reach winning for August and October, respectively.
