All change for Holstein

20 July 2019

Lee Bullen will ring the changes for the Owls’ second friendly encounter in Germany.

Wednesday went down 1-0 to VfB Lubeck on Friday night and Bullen is seeking a positive response when the Owls play Holstein-Kiel this Sunday.

Part of that process will be a raft of changes, as Bullen told swfc.co.uk:

He said: “It was a worthwhile experiment against Lubeck and a good test mentally and physically.

“The next one on Sunday I would say is the perfect game as we are playing a team two divisions higher in the Bundesliga so we have to be right at it.

"We’ll make a lot of changes, we have a lot of options, and we’re definitely looking to get a few of the other lads 75 or 90 minutes under the belt.”

Holstein Kiel v Wednesday takes place at Holstein-Stadion on Sunday 21 July and kicks off at 2.30pm local time.

Tickets are available on the day for Wednesdayites priced €10 standing and €20 seated.
