Sheffield Wednesday return to Hillsborough for the first time this pre-season on Sunday!
With La Liga side Espanyol visiting S6, there is plenty to look forward to on an action-packed weekend for Wednesday.
The warm-up fixture with the Periquitos will be the Owls’ only pre-season outing on home soil ahead of the Championship curtain-raiser at Readingthe following week.
Espanyol finished seventh in the Spanish top flight in 2018/19 to enter the Europa League at the second qualifying round stage.
The final friendly of the summer will present a chance for supporters to see new recruits Moses Odubajo, Kadeem Harris and Julian Borner play their maiden game on home soil.
The trio are now well settled in the squad after two European training camps in Portugal and Germany, and a handful of friendlies away from home.
And of course, not to forget our striking new 2019/20 home kit, the fixture will be the first time Wednesday will don the new shirts!

Ticket prices for the game are as follows; adults £15, under 21 and over 65s £10 and under 17s £5.
