Owls winger Kadeem Harris is looking forward to starting the new campaign this weekend after a productive first pre-season with Wednesday.
The pacey wideman moved to S6 from Cardiff this summer on a free transfer and is pleased with how well he has settled into the group.
Harris said: “The boys have been brilliant in pre-season.
“We’ve worked very hard and overcome every obstacle in front of us.
“I think it’s a great bunch of lads here, it was easy to settle in. They’ve made me, and the other new boys, feel really welcome.”
The 26-year-old had his first taste of Hillsborough in a Wednesday shirt on Sunday in a 2-2 draw with Spanish outfit Espanyol and is looking forward to playing regularly at the Owls’ home of 120 years.
He added: “I’ve played at Hillsborough a couple of times before.
“It’s a great place to play if it’s your home, but a horrible place if you’re on the opposition side!
“I’m looking forward to seeing Hillsborough jumping and bouncing at the first home game, and hopefully for the rest of the season.”
