Radio Sheffield sports presenter Adam Oxley has led a team of charitable walkers 122 miles across 25 local football clubs in aid of Mind.
Over a five-day period, the Football Heaven host has travelled to men’s and women’s teams all around South Yorkshire and North Derbyshire.
Starting at Hallam FC on Sunday 19 May, Adam and co finish their travels at Hillsborough and Bramall Lane having ticked off the likes of Maltby Main, Doncaster Rovers and Barnsley Ladies along the way.
The inspiration for the walk came from Football Heaven’s ‘Time to Talk’ special, where Owls midfielder Sam Hutchinson went live on air to candidly discuss mental health.
Mind are the Football League’s official charity partner, raising awareness and providing support to those suffering with mental health problems.
