Match preview: Charlton v Wednesday

29 November 2019

It’s an early kick-off for the Owls at Charlton on Saturday lunchtime (12.30pm).

Wednesday head to the capital for their first clash at The Valley since November 2015.

The Addicks have suffered a dip in form since mid-October and are winless in six.

Meanwhile, the Owls will be looking to return to winning ways after drawing three of their last five, while suffering defeats on the trips to Blackburn and West Brom.

Wednesday (10th) head into the game three points ahead of Charlton (17th).

Team news

SWFC: Julian Börner picked up his fifth booking of the season in midweek and now serves a one-match suspension.

Captain Tom Lees will come back into the starting XI.

Liam Palmer remains unavailable through suspension - the trip to Charlton will be the second of the full back’s three-game ban.

Cameron Dawson is likely to keep his place in the Owls goal.

Charlton: The Addicks have somewhat of an injury crisis with as many as 13 first team players missing for the clash with Wednesday.

Erhun Oztumer (foot) is the only player who could potentially return after missing the midweek 2-1 defeat at Luton.
