Wednesday host Swansea at Hillsborough on Saturday in the final game before the third international break of the season.

The Owls boast the joint-best defensive record in the division on home soil, having conceded just three times from seven games at Hillsborough.

Swansea will arrive in S6 as the only Championship side unbeaten on the road.

Team news

SWFC: Barry Bannan (groin) has trained all week and is likely to be available for selection after missing out at Blackburn last weekend.

Tom Lees will come back into contention after the international break.

Massimo Luongo (knee) is unlikely to feature against the Swans.

Swansea: Winger Jordon Garrick (hamstring) is facing a spell on the sidelines after picking up the injury in training.

Joe Rodon, Erwin Mulder and Aldo Kalulu will not be fit for the game.

Armistice Day tribute

The Owls’ Championship clash with Swansea is our designated fixture to mark Armistice Day this coming Monday, 11 November.

A period of activity will take place ahead of the game as we pay our respects to all those who have lost their lives while serving their country

A minute’s silence will precede a gun salute and rendition of the Last Post in the centre circle and supporters of both sides are kindly requested to take their seats in good time before commemorations begin.

Shirt auction

A live online auction of the Owls’ worn matchday shirts will take place from 3.00pm, with all proceeds going directly to the Royal British Legion.

Safety

Sheffield Wednesday are reminding supporters of their conduct whilst following the team both at Hillsborough and away from home.

The launching of missiles from the stands, including pyrotechnics, are criminal offences and the club have a zero-tolerance policy to these.
