Young Owls midfielder Liam Shaw has joined Chesterfield on a one-month loan deal.
The playmaker has impressed for Wednesday’s Under-23s and Under-18s over the past two seasons, and now joins the Spireites in the National League.
Shaw was a key member of the Owls Under-18s last season, as he helped Andy Holdsworth’s side win the league and play-off double.
The 18-year-old made a key contribution for the Owls Under-23s on Saturday, scoring Wednesday’s equaliser against Wigan at Hillsborough.
Having joined the club’s academy at just eight years old, Shaw signed his first professional contract with Wednesday in December last year.
Yet to make his senior Owls debut, the midfielder was named on the bench for the first time last season against West Brom at Hillsborough.
Good luck, Liam!
