Wednesday return to Hillsborough this evening in the Sky Bet Championship and face a Stoke side enjoying a recent turnaround in fortunes.
The Owls head into tonight’s clash with the Potters in eighth spot, one point outside of the top six.
Stoke, meanwhile, have been boosted by back to back wins to climb off the foot of the table.
Nathan Jones’ side ended their winless run in the Championship before the international break by coming from behind to defeat Swansea 2-1 on the road.
That success was followed by a 2-0 win over Fulham on Saturday to leave Stoke two points from safety in 23rd.
Looking at the stats, Wednesday have tasted defeat on just two of the last 22 home league matches played on a Tuesday evening – winning 13 and drawing seven.
The Owls are also unbeaten against tonight’s opposition in the last six meetings, winning two and drawing four.
