Steven Fletcher missed out on Tuesday evening at Hull with an ankle injury.
The striker picked up the knock in the closing stages of Saturday’s 4-1 win over Middlesbrough at the Riverside.
Speaking post-match at the KCOM Stadium, manager Garry Monk said:
“It was obviously a blow for us and a big miss.
“He had a kick on his ankle on Saturday, he came in on Sunday and it had swollen up.
“He wasn’t ready for this game but the physios are very hopeful that he will be available for Saturday.”
Meanwhile Sam Hutchinson picked up his fifth yellow card of the campaign against the Tigers and will be suspended for the clash with Wigan on Saturday.
