The Owls’ five October fixtures are now complete and the vote is open for supporters to select their Player of the Month.
Wednesday began October with a 1-0 defeat away at Hull but responded next time out as Massimo Luongo’s maiden goal for the club was enough to seal three points at home against Wigan.
Garry Monk’s men were out of luck at Cardiff when the hosts bagged a late equaliser to deny Wednesday all three points in South Wales after Julian Börner had given the Owls a deserved first half lead.
But back at home the following Tuesday evening and it was the same S6 story once again as Luongo hit the only goal of the game to secure the win against Championship strugglers Stoke.
The month concluded with an entertaining goalless draw with Leeds in front of the Sky Sports cameras.
That point from the Yorkshire derby has left Wednesday three off top spot heading into this weekend’s trip to Blackburn.
The winner will be announced on Wednesday 30 October.
