Garry Monk conducted his first pre-match media conference as Wednesday manager on Friday and said all the emphasis will be on the pitch this Sunday from his perspective.
The Owls take the short hop to Huddersfield with the Championship contest hosting a unique set of circumstances as both managers enter their respective dugouts for the first time.
The Wednesday boss said: “It is a little strange but these things happen sometimes in football. But as far as I’m concerned, it’s all about the players and all about what happens on the pitch, not off it.
“This is about Sheffield Wednesday from my point of view and what we do on Sunday.
“I’m tremendously excited, it’s my first game as Wednesday manager, we’ll have a sell-out following with us and we’re raring to go.”
