We realise that adjusting to weekends without football is not easy.
But in an attempt to soften the blow, we will take you back to the 2008/09 campaign on Saturday AND Sunday this week!
In particular, we’re focusing on the two Steel City derby clashes as Brian Laws’ side achieved that famous derby double for the first time in 95 years.
The first Sheffield derby of that season took place in mid-October and certainly did not pass by without incident!
Two red cards, a penalty miss and a special goal from veteran Steve Watson made for a hugely entertaining derby affair live in front of the Sky cameras.
Then for the second meeting at Bramall Lane in early February.
With the stakes high, a good start can never be over-valued and Wednesday youth product Tommy Spurr provided exactly that by stunning our city rivals inside the opening minute.
The game also witnessed one of the best strikes you are ever likely to see in a Sheffield derby courtesy of Marcus Tudgay!
Here’s the schedule this weekend on the SWFC YouTube channel;
