Information requested for fans' safe return

With supporters scheduled to return to stadia in limited numbers from early October, the Owls are conducting a provisional fact-finding operation for fixtures in S6.

In line with grounds around the country, the capacity of Hillsborough will be significantly reduced for at least the initial stages of the fans’ return.

The club must apply the requisite social distancing and safety measures to comply with Government guidelines and as a result may only be able to permit entry to a percentage of current 2020/21 Season Ticket holders in the first instance.

Supporters in ‘social bubbles’ will be central to the seating plans and we are requesting details to that end.

The data will give the club an indication of potential demand from various sized social bubbles as we seek to plan accordingly for the safe return of spectators.

This in turn will enable us to optimise the number of supporters we can accommodate.

To allow the club to gauge the numbers expected in each bubble up to a maximum of four per bubble we are asking current 2020/21 Season Ticket holders to contact the corresponding email address below with your Client ID and those of anyone sharing your bubble – there is no need to supply any further information.

All emails are in-bound only and strictly one email should be sent per bubble - please do not include yourself in multiple bubbles with others.

Supporters should nominate one person from their respective bubble and email the following details:

If you intend attending games alone email bubble1@swfc.co.uk with your name and ID number.

If you intend attending games with one other 20/21 Season Ticket holder email: bubble2@swfc.co.uk with both names and ID numbers.

If you intend attending games with two other 20/21 Season Ticket holders email: bubble3@swfc.co.uk with all three names and ID numbers.

If you intend attending games with three other 20/21 Season Ticket holders email: bubble4@swfc.co.uk with all four names and ID numbers.

Please send your email before midnight on Monday 24 August.

It should be noted that this is not an official registration process for specific bubbles or ticket priority but a valuable exercise in the club’s strategy ahead of the potential return of fans.

We must provide a seating plan for each stand to be approved by the relevant authorities and this process will help enormously.

Given the implications of bubbles and social distancing, please be aware that all seating allocations will be determined by the club – supporters will not be guaranteed their usual seats or stand.

We appreciate our fans will have further questions, all of which will be addressed in the coming weeks and communicated as the club receives further ongoing guidance.
