Match preview: Birmingham v Wednesday

21 February 2020

Sheffield Wednesday make the trip to St Andrew’s this weekend.

Garry Monk’s side will be aiming to arrest their current run of form which stands at six without a win in the Championship.

Birmingham, though, are unbeaten in 10 in all competitions.

The Blues head into the clash with the Owls on the back of three league wins from the last four.

Team news

SWFC: The big news from Thursday’s pre-match press conference was Steven Fletcher’s return to training this week.

The striker may be involved on Saturday and will be assessed ahead of the game.

Massimo Luongo (calf), Moses Odubajo (hamstring) and Adam Reach (toe) will miss out on Saturday.

Osaze Urhoghide serves a one-match suspension.

Ex-Owl Jacques Maghoma is out with a thigh injury.

Meanwhile, Kerim Mrabti (hamstring) and Josh McEachran (ACL) are also sidelined.
