The Owls Under-23s were denied three points at the last on Monday at Hillsborough in the 2-2 draw with Leeds.
Ciaran Brennan and Liam Shaw were on target for Wednesday either side of a Niall Huggins strike.
But in the final minute, Bryce Hosannah’s cross deflected off Shaw and into the net to deny the Owls victory.
