Businesses wanted for Owls Traineeship scheme

10 July 2020

The Owls Community Programme are seeking local businesses with whom to partner for their Traineeship Scheme.

Rishi Sunak, Chancellor of the Exchequer, recently announced an increase in funding for Traineeship Programmes and SWFCCP are keen to get more companies involved in their successful model.

This new development aims to create more jobs for young people by providing funding to employers, who facilitate work placements for learners aged 16-24 on a Traineeship Programme.

Work placements are a core element of the scheme, offering learners on-the-job experience to enhance their skills and assist in the end goal of securing employment.

The Community Programme’s 13-week course boasts a 100% vocational qualification pass rate to date, alongside a 38% successful move into employment upon completion.

Following the announcement of increased funding, the Owls are now looking for local businesses to commit to offering work placements for our trainee learners.
