Dominic Iorfa voted Owls Player of the Year

27 July 2020

Owls defender Dominic Iorfa has been voted as the swfc.co.uk Player of the Year by supporters.

The 25-year-old has been a standout performer in his first full season at Hillsborough.

Iorfa joined Wednesday in January 2019 and marked his move to the club in dramatic fashion with a goal on his debut away at Rotherham in stoppage time, shortly after coming on from the bench.

The former Wolves man began his Owls stint at right back but made his ambitions of switching into the centre clear from the off.

Fast forward to the 2019/20 campaign and Iorfa has nailed down his spot in central defence, as highlighted by his 45 appearances across all competitions.

Iorfa added a further two goals to his tally in 19/20 with strikes away at Middlesbrough and Queens Park Rangers, bringing his Wednesday total to five.
