After the curtain finally came down on the 2019/20 season, Garry Monk has his focus fixed firmly forward.
Middlesbrough left Hillsborough with all three points courtesy of a late goal that Monk says all but encapsulates a frustrating campaign.
Boro edged the last game of the season by the odd goal in three and Monk told swfc.co.uk:
“That pretty much summed up our season, we should have taken something from the game – a point at least – but one lapse right at the end has cost us all three.
“I understand the frustration, it’s understandable, but we have the opportunity to implement change over the course of the next few weeks.
“It’s strange because we have probably double the work but half the time. We don’t know when the new season will start and our preparations start now.
“I know what I want to do, I am fully committed to this club, completely driven and I want to give our loyal fans a team they can be proud of.”
