With supporters currently unable to attend Hillsborough, the club’s Virtual Mascot Package is helping to bring Wednesdayites closer to their favourite Owls players.
Young supporter Kyle was gifted the Virtual Mascot experience by his family for his 16th birthday when the Owls faced Millwall last weekend, and his father Jon said he thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
Jon said: “Kyle really enjoyed it. The first part of it was to have a mock press conference over Zoom with Aden Flint and Alex Hunt and that was brilliant!
“Then, on the morning of the match, which was also his birthday, he woke up to a video message from Kadeem Harris who is Kyle’s favourite player. It made his day!
“He was on the club’s social media and a lot of people started texting him saying he’s famous! Some of his friends were getting in touch with him.
“We watched the game live on iFollow which was great, and he saw his name on the advertising boards.
“With lockdown obviously happening during his birthday it gave Kyle something to look forward to.
“His birthday wouldn’t have been the same without it.”
