Ready for the weekend

20 November 2020

Izzy Brown says everyone is excited for the first game under new manager Tony Pulis this weekend as we travel to Preston on Saturday.

Pulis has had his first full week on the training ground with the squad ahead of the Wednesday’s return to action following the international break.

Discussing the first few days under the management of Pulis, Brown told us:

“The last few days have been great and all the boys have bought into what the gaffer has brought to the club.

“Everyone is excited for this game at the weekend.

“There have been a lot on tactics, getting shape right behind the ball but there feels a lot of positivity around the place - I’m sure we’ll reap the benefits of a new manager coming in.

“We’ve had no days off this week so every day has been working on something new, but he seems like a good guy so I feel everything is working well.

“Craig Gardner has also come in and seems a good guy too so we’re just ready to get going on Saturday.”

Brown has returned from injury in recent weeks, coming off the bench in our last three outings and the Chelsea loanee says he feels he is now approaching full fitness, adding:

“I feel like I am very close to 100% and I just can’t wait to get back on the pitch but I’ll wait for my time and whenever the gaffer needs me or thinks I am ready to play, I’ll be there ready.”
