SWFC: Izzy Brown will be pushing for a return to the side having missed the Owls’ last two outings through a minor injury but has now returned to training.

Tom Lees (groin) and Liam Shaw (ankle) are unlikely to be available for selection. The game could come a tad too soon for Dominic Iorfa (hamstring).

Loan duo Aden Flint and Jack Marriott could make their first appearances at Hillsborough for Wednesday.

Brentford: Emiliano Marcondes and Ivan Toney suffered minor knocks and left the action early on Saturday as they defeated Coventry 2-0 at the Brentford Community Stadium.

Frank confirmed after the game the pair received contact injuries but both are expected to be involved at Hillsborough.

Ahead of a busy schedule, Franks said: “It won’t be squad rotation, and not 90 minutes for specific players, but something in between and hopefully some early subs. I have told the squad that everyone will need to be ready and I trust them when they need to step in.”

Owls boss ahead of Brentford: “The importance of performing is on everyone, whether you’re a young lad making your debut or a senior lad that has played 300 or 400 games, because of the situation we’re in. Normally, as a manager, you’d let certain things ride and you’d let them go through them for a period. We don’t have that luxury as much this season, we have to get as many points as possible.”

Brentford manager Thomas Frank said: "I feel there is more to come from the team. We are on a good path, but I expect there is more to come from us when we get the engine going. I am fairly pleased with the performances, but I want more. I have the biggest respect for Sheffield Wednesday. I think they are one of the strongest teams in the division. Five games, only one loss, three goals conceded; they look very solid.”
