Owls announce new partnership with Mondelez International

The Owls are pleased to announce a brand new partnership with Mondelez International, owner of Cadbury, making the UK’s favourite chocolate brand an official Club Wednesday partner for the next two seasons.

With one of Cadbury’s longest standing manufacturing sites situated just a stone’s throw from Hillsborough, the partnership celebrates the shared values of two leading brands, focusing on bringing people together as well as celebrating and supporting local communities.

Cadbury will mark the start of the association by donating their sponsorship assets to support the Wise Old Owls, who are currently approaching their third decade since formation in 2001.

The Wise Old Owls now have over 150 members, providing Wednesdayites the opportunity to meet every month where possible for social and physical activities. Cadbury will support these activities through the donation of guest speakers, products, player meet and greet opportunities and signed merchandise when deemed safe to do so or in a virtual capacity. Cadbury will help to support all club activities that encourage a sense of community and belonging.

Owls Commercial Director Liam Dooley said: “We are delighted to welcome such a huge global brand as Mondelez and Cadbury to Club Wednesday.

“We look forward to supporting Cadbury to build upon their heritage in our community, whilst at the same time offering our fans a unique way to interact with SWFC.”

Colin O’Toole, Associate Director of Marketing of Cadbury Equity added: “We are delighted to welcome Sheffield Wednesday to the Cadbury family. Having roots in the community since 1842, we will continue to work closely with the club and its great work in the community, starting with the donation of our sponsorship assets to the local community and a focus on the Wise Old Owls.”

As part of the package, Cadbury will be offering Wednesdayites fantastic incentives and prizes to watch out for through the coming weeks and months!
