The Sheffield Wednesday Community Programme has partnered with Sheffield Collegiate Cricket Club (SCCC) to provide a two-year course offering an exciting chance to make that first leap into the world of sport.
The Cricket Development Programme will roll out from September 2021 in association with SCCC, who boast a range of top cricketers having risen through their ranks at numerous levels, including the likes of England captains past and present, Michael Vaughan and Joe Root.
Our Education Team will deliver premium-quality teaching of the sport qualification (equivalent to three A-levels) throughout a range of modules.
Alongside studying, participants will be given a tutorial programme to build personal and social skills whilst gaining valuable work experience and additional coaching qualifications to boost employability prospects.
Learners will also have access to group sessions alongside one-on-one coaching to support development.
As an added extra, students will receive a gym membership to aid physical development, with training plans and advice personally tailored to the individual by a team of experts.
The course includes potential progression onto higher education, apprenticeships and full time employment. Modules will incorporate:
