Josh Windass has put pen to paper on a new deal with the Owls.
The forward’s new contract means Windass has now committed to Wednesday until the summer of 2023.
Windass joined Wednesday on loan from Wigan in January 2020, scoring three goals in nine games before making the move permanent in the summer of the same year.
Last season, the 27-year-old bagged nine goals to finish Wednesday’s top goalscorer in the Championship.
Windass said: “I’m really pleased to get this done.
“I feel settled here, the manager is great and it’s one of the best dressing rooms I’ve played in.
“Promotion is want we want this year and that’s our expectation, we aren’t scared of saying it.
“It’s one of the biggest clubs in Britain, the fan base have been brilliant with me since I arrived and I’m looking forward to playing in front of them again this season.”
