Wednesday v Doncaster - your comprehensive guide

13 August 2021

Some 532 days have passed since we last hosted a league game and, ahead of our first home contest of the new season against Doncaster, the Owls are issuing this comprehensive guide for supporters returning to Hillsborough.

COVID-19 guidance
At this moment in time, there is no requirement to provide COVID-19 passports or similar. We will communicate any change to this policy, based on Government guidelines, should the need arise. Everyone entering the stadium is advised to wear a face covering when not eating or drinking. This is not a regulation but we are adapting this advice with safety first paramount in our thinking.

Player autographs/photos
Whilst we and the players understand this is part of the matchday experience, we respectfully request that supporters do not approach players/managers of either team for autographs or photo requests to enable them to fully comply with the strict protocols still in place for football staff.

Season Ticket Cards
All Season Ticket cards were dispatched earlier this week to the addresses held on each account. If you have not received your card in the post, please visit the Ticket Office as early as possible on Saturday and we can duplicate the match ticket. If required we can also print a ticket for Tuesday’s home fixture against Fleetwood. As soon as we reprint a ticket it will automatically deactivate the season card for the relevant fixtures. We then have a couple of weeks before the next home league game and if by then your card has still not arrived, we would look at duplicating the season card if necessary.

Please arrive early!
The Ticket Office remains extremely busy with extended waiting times, and we thank you all for your patience. Months of planning have been crammed into a short space of time following the green light for the safe return of fans in mid-July.

We advise any supporters who need to visit the Ticket Office to arrange reprints to allow plenty of time and arrive as early as possible. The Ticket Office will be extremely busy and, where possible, we advise supporters wishing to buy tickets for the Doncaster game to do so online HERE and use the print at home facility. Alternatively, supporters can pay on the day on the cash turnstiles.

Tickets
This fixture is Category A and prices start from £26 on the Kop to £32 on the South Stand. Tickets can be purchased online HERE until 1.15pm on Saturday. There will be limited cash turnstiles available on each stand, including the West Stand for Doncaster supporters.

Turnstile entry
As mentioned above, we urge all supporters to arrive as early as possible to avoid unnecessary delays before kick-off. Typically, we see vast numbers enter the stadium during the final 10 minutes before the game and we advise fans to enter in a timely manner to help ease the flow and social distancing still firmly in our mind. Turnstiles will open at 1.30pm.

Pre-paid ticket collections
For supporters who purchased tickets after the postal deadline, they will be available to collect in the Ticket Office until 1.15pm on Saturday. After this time, Kop and North Stand tickets can be collected from Gate 18 (disabled entrance next to the Megastore) and South Stand and Grandstand tickets from the South Stand Matchday Ticket Office (South Stand car park).

Ticket Office and Megastore opening times
The Ticket Office and Owls Megastore will open at 9.00am until kick-off and re-open after the game for 45 minutes. The Ticket Office telephone lines will be open between 9.00am and 1.00pm and we ask for your patience as long queuing times are expected.

2021/22 replica shirts
All adult men’s shirts and junior sizes are available at the Owls Megastore. Limited numbers of adult away shirts are also on sale now. When further deliveries arrive, we will announce sale information for infant and ladies kits.

Matchday hospitality
All hospitality areas are situated within the South Stand, doors open at 12 noon and tickets will be collected from staff at the reception desk.

Owls Foundation Lounge
The 1867 Lounge will be open for Owls Foundation members from 12 noon and as usual is first come, first served until capacity is reached. Hot food will be available and members are advised that a change in regulation means last orders will be called at 2.30pm, with the lounge vacated by 2.45pm.

Supporters who have recently become Owls Foundation members and have not yet received your membership card will have details checked upon entry.

Wednesday Tap
The Wednesday Tap will be open from 12 noon until capacity is reached.

Cashless stadium
Once inside Hillsborough, all kiosks and hospitality areas are completely cashless with card payments only.

Matchday programme
Our award-winning programme ‘Wednesday’ returns with a 52-page edition available around the stadium, priced £3.

50/50 Draw
The popular 50/50 draw will return for Saturday fixtures this season, look out for the sellers on the perimeter of the ground and for just £1 you could win up to £2,000 at half time!

Half time entertainment
Due to COVID-19 regulations, especially around the technical area and pitchside, there will be no half time entertainment on the pitch. The 50/50 draw will still take place at half time, with the winning numbers announced over the tannoy.

Family Zone
Again due to COVID-19 regulations our popular family stand activities will not currently be in operation within the Grandstand. We hope to resume these activities in due course.

Betting
There will be no betting facilities within the stadium or hospitality areas.

And finally…
Thank you as always to each and every supporter, we understand this season things may be slightly different than before but your co-operation is, as ever, appreciated.

WAWAW!
