Everyone at Sheffield Wednesday is saddened to learn of the passing of Glenn Roeder, aged 65.
Glenn joined the Owls in an advisory capacity for an eight-month spell at Hillsborough between April and December 2015.
As a cultured defender, he made a total of 561 appearances for QPR, Newcastle and Watford through two decades.
Glenn moved into coaching, initially as player/manager with Gillingham, before going on to manage Newcastle, West Ham and Norwich.
The Londoner was also on the England coaching staff under Glenn Hoddle.
Glenn is survived by his wife Faith, daughter Holly, and sons Will and Joe.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Glenn’s family and friends at this incredibly difficult time.
