New Owls recruit Andre Green is ready and able to make his debut if called upon when Wednesday travel to Everton in the fourth round of the Emirates FA Cup on Sunday.
The former Aston Villa forward put pen to paper at Hillsborough last week and has earmarked Goodison Park as a potential starting line in SWFC colours.
Green said: “I’ve trained with the lads a few times and I’m ready to go. When I haven’t been playing I’ve followed an intense programme at home and I feel fitter and hungrier than ever.
“I’ve kept up with the lads and really enjoyed the first few sessions. Football is all I know and I want to get out there and show what I can do.
“With everything that’s been happening, I’m sure the whole squad will get their chance at some point.
“For me personally, this is an exciting time for me at a new club the size and stature of this one. The league is the priority of course but the FA Cup is the FA Cup and this is a big game I am looking forward to.
“If my chance comes I am ready to take it and if I have to wait for another chance I must be ready then as well.
“I feel fresh, fit and ready to go.”
