The Owls have re-signed our popular former player Sam Hutchinson on a free transfer subject to international clearance.
The vastly experienced 31-year-old, who can operate across the backline or in midfield, has put pen to paper at Hillsborough to resume his Wednesday career.
Hutchinson initially joined on loan from Premier League Chelsea in February 2014 before signing permanently in July the same year.
He was a huge influence in our two successive play-off campaigns of 2015/16 and 2016/17.
The Slough product made 151 appearances in total, chipping in with six goals along the way.
Hutchinson departed S6 last summer upon the expiry of his contract and went on to sign for Cypriot outfit Pafos FC.
He cut short his stay in Cyprus last December to become a free agent and rejoins Wednesday at exactly the halfway point of our Championship season.
Hutchinson will wear the number six shirt and is eligible for the Owls’ midweek trip to Coventry.
