Sheffield Wednesday’s preparations for the new term continue on Saturday lunchtime with a contest with Barnsley at Oakwell Training Ground.
The pre-season friendly behind closed doors will be underway at midday.
It will be our fourth warm-up fixture of the summer, following games with Celtic, Chester and Alfreton.
Manager Darren Moore has taken plenty of positives from his squad’s pre-season work so far and said after our 1-0 win over Alfreton in midweek:
“It was a really good workout for us. It’s all about putting that volume of work in and as the days and weeks go on we’ll sharpen up and intensify our training sessions and see the quicker tempo to our play.”
The Alfreton fixture saw new loan recruit Olamide Shodipo make his first appearance and Saturday could see Jaden Brown follow suit after the left back completed his move to Hillsborough on Wednesday.
