It’s only us that can turn the corner and get this place moving

11 March 2021

Owls boss Darren Moore’s pre-Norwich press conference will take place on Friday morning from 9.00am at Middlewood Road.

After a hectic start to his reign as Wednesday manager, including two games inside his first six days, this has been Moore’s first full week on the training ground with his squad.

Tests don’t come much tougher in the Championship than a clash against the in-form league leaders and that is what faces the Owls on Sunday (12:15pm) at Hillsborough.

Earlier in the week, Moore said: “The odds are stacked against us but we’re still in there with a fighting chance, we’ll keep working, we’ll keep that belief.

“We’ve come in and had two games to prepare for in no time, there has been a lot going on in and around the club this week.

“One thing I have seen is a desire from a group to do the right things and work hard in order to turn it around and pick up results.

“OK, the results haven’t come for us but they are working hard and we have to maintain that. It’s only us that can turn that corner and get this place moving.

“We have to keep the belief and move on to the next game, we have 12 more ahead of us, it’s Norwich on Sunday with a full week on the training ground before that.”
