Match preview: Wednesday v Bolton

8 October 2021

Wednesday return to league action at Hillsborough on Saturday to face Bolton with Darren Moore’s men looking to build on Tuesday’s win over Mansfield.

The victory over the Stags in the Papa John’s Trophy was a welcome one, as Wednesday bounced back after defeat against Oxford in S6 last weekend.

Bolton come into Saturday on the back of a 4-1 win over Liverpool Under-23s, and boast three victories on the bounce, with Shrewsbury and Charlton the other casualties.

The Trotters' last defeat came away at Sunderland on 25 September and Ian Evatt's men sit seventh in the League One table.
