Cohesion and understanding

1 September 2021

With 11 days between fixtures the Owls can now look forward to an uninterrupted training schedule at Middlewood Road.

Wednesday were due to the face Sunderland at Hillsborough on Saturday before several members of the Black Cats’ squad received international call-ups, prompting the game’s postponement.

After a packed schedule so far and with many new additions through the doors in S6 this summer, the boss is looking forward to some extra preparation.

Speaking exclusively with swfc.co.uk, Moore said: “The plan now is to work.

“Now the window has closed, and we have the bodies in, we just work and get that group cohesion and understanding.

“We’ll get everyone together and get them understanding one another more and use this opportunity with the missing game this weekend.

“The players will be off on Wednesday this week, then they’ll come back on Thursday ready to work.

“We’ve got the rest of this week and next week to get the work in before we travel down to Plymouth.”
