The Owls will be out for a return to winning ways on Saturday when we face Shrewsbury at Hillsborough.

Wednesday return to S6 following back-to-back league defeats on the road at Morecambe and Plymouth.

Our form on home soil has been strong in the early stages of the 2021/22 season with two wins from two in League One (v Doncaster 2-0, v Fleetwood 1-0).

Shrewsbury meanwhile have endured a difficult start to the campaign with five defeats from seven league games.

Owls host special guest trio!

Former Owl and 1966 FA Cup finalist Jim McCalliog, title-winning boxer Dalton Smith and ex-Wednesday skipper Rob Jones will all be present in S6 this weekend.

TEAM NEWS

Owls: Boss Darren Moore reported positive news on the injury front with midfielder Dennis Adeniran back in the squad.

The 22-year-old missed our defeat at Plymouth last weekend due to a minor muscle strain but will be available for the Shrewsbury clash at Hillsborough.

Florian Kamberi missed out at Home Park with a knee injury after suffering a slight knock in training but, after a full week under the belt at Middlewood Road, could also feature on Saturday.

Everton loanee Lewis Gibson (quad) remains sidelined, while Josh Windass and Massimo Luongo continue with their rehabilitation programme from hamstring injuries.

Shrewsbury: Forward Rekeil Pyke will miss the game after testing positive for COVID-19.

Elsewhere, manager Steve Cotterill has no injury concerns for the trip to Hillsborough.
