Barry Bannan has scooped the EFL Goal of the Season award for the 2021/22 campaign!
The skipper’s wonder strike came earlier this month on the road against MK Dons.
The Scot spotted Dons goalkeeper Jamie Cumming off his line and executed the most delightful dipping lob from 40 yards out in front of the Sky Sports cameras.
Bannan beat off stiff competition from Cole Stockton, Alex Mowatt, Bersant Celina, Andre Gray and Ben Wilmot to land the EFL award.
The Owls captain was chosen as the winner by an EFL judging panel during the League’s annual awards dinner on Sunday 24 April at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.
Bannan was also named in the Sky Bet League One Team of the Season!
