“I have two words to say to them – thank you.”
Darren Moore has hailed the staggering support broadcast to the nation on Saturday evening at Stadium MK.
Despite transport disruption over the Easter holiday period, over 5,500 Wednesdayites journeyed south and were served a feast of football as the Owls triumphed over MK Dons by the odd goal in five.
And Moore was left in awe by the travelling hordes who raised the roof live on Sky TV:
“I can’t thank them enough. We had over 5,000 at Bolton a couple of weeks ago and to see even more at MK was incredible considering the travel situation and the game was on TV.
“I want to thank them all. The noise was unbelievable and I’m so pleased we sent them home happy, whatever time it was when they got back to Sheffield.
“The connection we have is there for everyone to see, the fans got their reward on Saturday and so did the players. It was wonderful to see.”
