The Owls and Charlton have begun the new campaign in strong fashion and go head-to-head at Hillsborough on Saturday.

For Wednesday, the unbeaten start has seen wins over MK Dons in League One and Sunderland in the Carabao Cup, while Darren Moore’s side drew 3-3 with Portsmouth on the opening day.

Charlton drew 2-2 away at Accrington before defeating Derby 1-0 at the Valley. The Addicks also progressed in the Carabao Cup by overcoming QPR on penalties following a 1-1 draw in the 90 minutes.

TEAM NEWS

Wednesday: Lee Gregory has trained as normal on Friday and the manager says the striker will be assessed on the matchday.

Michael Smith is making good progress and will be back on the grass on Monday.

Akin Famewo has been ruled out for an extended period of time after picking up an injury at MK Dons last weekend.

Charlton: New recruit Jesurun Rak-Sakyi will be part of the travelling squad.

Conor McGrandles (concussion) is back available for selection, though Mandela Egbo (knee) and Chuks Aneke (calf) are unavailable.

DISABLED SUPPORTERS' ENTRANCE

The Owls are reminding our disabled supporters of revised access points to the stadium on matchday.

For those who utilise space in the North Stand Car Park, the entry point is Gate 18 and available to anyone unable to access the new point of turnstile 94.

This access point is for one disabled supporter and one carer only.

Thank you for your cooperation.

WEATHER CONDITIONS

Due to the extreme heat in the area, lids will not be removed on bottled products upon purchase in the stadium.

With more high temperatures forecast, supporters are advised to bring sunscreen, water and protective clothing.

The Fan Zone is open from midday until 2:45pm and then post-match from 4:45pm until 6:00pm.

Local band The Stretch will play on the rooftop stage, while Big Al’s Diner will be serving food pre-match.
