Darren Moore is keeping his feet firmly on the floor despite an impressive start to the new campaign.
Wednesday sit third in the League One table, one point from the summit, after an emphatic 5-0 win over Forest Green at Hillsborough.
And Moore is far from getting carried away, issue reminders that nothing has been achieved yet.
He told swfc.co.uk: “We will continue to build, we are still a work in progress. I don’t think the levels are where we can be but week on week we are getting there.
“The best part of the week for me is on the grass training because that’s where all the hard work and preparations for Saturday proves important.
“We knew Forest Green are a very capable side, they can paint some wonderful pictures, but the work we did in the week nullified that, so well done to the players.
“It was a solid, professional performance. It was important we started the game well and played on the front foot and that’s exactly what we did.”
Moore reflected on a terrific week for Wednesday, in which three wins were recorded with as many clean sheets and 10 goals.
He added: “It’s been a really productive week, beating Bolton 2-0, Rochdale 3-0 and now Forest Green 5-0.
“But we’ve achieved nothing at this moment in time. We have to get those levels right up there, week in, week out.
“We can get better and we will get better.”
