Exeter v Wednesday
Saturday 10 December

St James’ Park

THE MATCH

The main event in the football calendar on Saturday sees the Owls travel to Exeter!

Wednesday make the 500-mile round trip looking to extend their strong run of form in League One.

It’s no defeats in our last eight league outings and a win on Saturday could send the Owls top.

Exeter have settled nicely on their return to the third tier following promotion last season.

The Grecians are comfortably in mid-table and sit 11th with 26 points.

The game is a sell-out for both home and away supporters.

TEAM NEWS

Wednesday: Both Josh Windass and Lee Gregory are back in contention this weekend after sitting out at Derby last Saturday.

Akin Famewo could make his first league appearance since MK Dons back in August.

The defender has recovered from injury and stored vital game minutes with the Under-21s and in a friendly at Huddersfield in midweek.

Dennis Adeniran also featured in West Yorkshire as he negotiates the final stages of his rehabilitation programme.

George Byers (foot) will miss out, along with longer term absentees Michael Ihiekwe and Ben Heneghan.

Exeter: With no fresh injury concerns, the Grecians may opt to go with a similar line-up that gained a point last weekend away at Morecambe.
