The Owls are in strong form ahead of the home clash with Wigan after posting a third win on the bounce at the weekend over Burton.

It was the first time since August that Darren Moore’s side have notched three consecutive league wins and a first away triumph since our trip to Crewe in mid-December.

Visiting sides have found the going tough at Hillsborough this season as Wednesday vie for a fourth successive win in S6 on Tuesday night. This season we have won eight, drawn four and lost just once on home soil.

Wigan, though, boast the strongest record in League One when it comes to away days.

The Latics have won a league-high 10 games on the road this season and have lost just once on their travels – an opening day 2-1 defeat at Sunderland.

TEAM NEWS

Wednesday: There were no fresh injury concerns following our 2-0 win at Burton on Saturday.

The gaffer indicated after the victory at the Pirelli Stadium that he would have a similar squad for selection on Tuesday at Hillsborough.

Harlee Dean, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru and Josh Windass all picked up injuries in the win over Morecambe at Hillsborough last week and are unlikely to be available.

Lee Gregory (toe) is also unlikely to be fit in time for the Wigan fixture.

Wigan: The Latics are expected to be without top scorer and ex-Owls loanee Will Keane, Jordan Cousins and Tom Pearce due to injuries.

Gwion Edwards serves a one-match suspension and will miss the trip to Hillsborough.
